Provide
site evaluations, permits, and final
inspections for the On Site Wastewater
Disposal Program (Septic systems),
provide annual training for licensed
installers, inspect septic haulers,
hotels, motels, schools, public pools
and spas, trailer and RV parks.
Quarantine biting animals for rabies, or
forward animals to state rabies testing
lab, sample well water for coliform and
E-coli contamination, and perform other
environmental task as required.

Job Duties:
I work primarily as the Food Inspector. I
provide inspections of organizations that
handle and prepare food, including
restaurants, supermarkets, and other places
that serve food like the schools and
daycares . Food inspectors make sure food
producers meet proper guidelines to ensure
food is safe for human consumption. I also
do temporary food permits for organization
and events like the Greenup County Fair. I
also inspect vending machines.
In addition, I inspect tattoo parlors for
safe health practices. In the future, my
inspections will branch out to cover tanning
salons.

Read, listening to music, drawing, spending
time with my animals, and sewing. |

Job Duties:
I write the plans for what the Health
Department will do in the event of a medical
emergency in the county, region, or state. I
also head up the county Medical Reserve
Corps and am the Chairperson for the
Regional Citizen Corps Council. I also write
a monthly Health Department newsletter.
