Environmental Staff

 

The Environmental program is designed to protect the health and well being of our citizens.  Environmentalists are in the Greenup office each day from 8:00-9:30 A.M.  The state plumbing inspector is in the Greenup office on Tuesdays from 8:00-9:30 A.M.

Ron Spence, RS   -   Health Environmentalist II

Job Duties:

Provide site evaluations, permits, and final inspections for the On Site Wastewater Disposal Program (Septic systems), provide annual training for licensed installers, inspect septic haulers, hotels, motels, schools, public pools and spas, trailer and RV parks. Quarantine biting animals for rabies, or forward animals to state rabies testing lab, sample well water for coli form and E-coli contamination, and perform other environmental task as required.

Mandy Webb, RS   -   Health Environmentalist I

Job Duties

Works primarily in the Public Food Service Division and assists with other Environmental Services as required.

Marilyn Oppenheimer  -  Health Environmentalist

Job Duties

Will approve operating permits for food-serving establishments. Environmentalists conduct sanitation inspections of restaurants, school cafeterias, retail grocery stores, food transportation vehicles, vending machines or vehicles which sell food to the public.
