Cassie Mace, RN   -   Public Health Services Supervisor

Job Duties:

 I write the plans for what the Health Department will do in the event of a medical emergency in the county, region, or state. I also head up the county Medical Reserve Corps which is a volunteer group of medical professionals. I serve as a Tobacco Cessation Coordinator and work to decrease the rate of tobacco use in our county. I oversee the brown bag condom program. I am the local administrator for our health department website.

Job Duties:

 I am the Assistant Nursing Supervisor. I work with the Nurse Administrator. I also work in clinic and focus on preventative health care services which include well child and school exams, family planning, STD testing and treatment, community health screenings and education. I participate in the Epi Rapid Response team, function as the infection control nurse and serve as the Diabetes Management Education Coordinator. I am also the co-coordinator of the MAPP Program.

I am the school nurse for the Raceland-Worthington School District. When school is not in session, I work in clinic at the Health Department in Greenup.

 I participate in preventative health care services to the public, patients, and community. These include well-child services, vaccines, school exams, classes for the community, and screening and treatment of communicable diseases. I am a grant writer for the Health Department and I am also the co-coordinator of the MAPP Program.
